Heritage Students is an active ministry to teenagers in 6th-12th grade.

Teenagers are some of the most caring, teachable, and sendable people in the world. To engage and equip teenagers in Montgomery and beyond we have our 1-4-1 Wednesday nights! Our Wednesday nights rotate through one week of fellowship, four weeks of Bible study, followed by a week of service. Each week we challenge students to love others, love God, and show God’s love in Montgomery and beyond.

The Earl M. Hall Student Leader Scholarship was created to honor the memory and ministry of Dr. Earl M. Hall, Associate Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church from 1988-2011. The scholarship remains funded through the generosity of the members of Heritage Baptist Church. The funds are limited by the amount of income growth in the endowment. Application to the program does not guarantee selection, and the awards are for tuition and books only.

To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
  1. Be a Heritage Baptist Church member for at least six months.
  2. Demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond what is required of a student through servant leadership in the church.
  3. Active participation in the Heritage Baptist Church student ministry through faithful attendance, engaging in Bible studies, and attending and serving at special events/churchwide functions.
  4. Be preparing themselves for their future occupation by enrolling in an undergraduate program at a university, college, or institution in the summer or fall semester following their high school graduation.
Applicant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Completing the application in detail. (The committee reserves the right to disqualify an applicant for an incomplete application.)
  • Meeting with the committee, if asked.
  • Turning in their application during the month of April.
  • Responding to any follow-up communications from the committee.
  • Writing a thank you note to Heritage Baptist Church.
By applying for a scholarship, applicants grant permission for news of their award to be publicized in Heritage Baptist Church publications should the applicant be selected for an award.

Funds will be distributed by check to the scholarship recipient upon presentation of paid
receipts or invoices from the schools in which they are enrolled.
