Dr. Teman Knight

Pastor

 
Dr. Teman Knight is the Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church. He became the pastor in 2010. His favorite thing about Heritage is the love our people have for God and for each other. Bro. Teman is married to Darlana. They have a son, a daughter, and a growing number of grandchildren. Bro. Teman also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Kenneth Loomis

Worship & Senior Life Minister

 
Kenneth Loomis serves as the Worship and Senior Life Minister at Heritage Baptist Church. He has served here since 2006. His favorite thing about Heritage is that inside this church family, there’s an abundance of faithfulness to God and this church, expressed through loving and sacrificial service to God and one another. Kenneth is married to Ashley and they have four children: Maegan (Michael) Mott, Whit (Makenzie) Loomis, Ryan (Brianna) Loomis, and Jacob Loomis. They also have two grandchildren. Jennifer Foster

Family Discipleship & Administration Minister

 
Jennifer Blair Foster serves as the Minister of Family Discipleship and Administration at Heritage Baptist Church. She has served on this team for 14 years. What she loves most about Heritage is the people! From our littlest babies to our senior life adults, Heritage is filled with people who love Jesus and love each other. Her favorite times are when we gather as a family on Sunday mornings to worship God and study His Word. Jennifer has been married to Reid for 23 years. They have a yellow lab named Layla. Jennifer celebrated her 40th birthday by completing a marathon (notice she didn’t say running).
 
 
 

Zac Caldwell

Minister of Students and Recreation

 
Zac Caldwell joined our ministry team on January 1, 2024. He is working on his Master of Divinity in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His desire is to create an inclusive and welcoming community that fosters spiritual growth, encourages meaningful relationships, and challenges students to live out their faith every day. Fredrick Harris

One Mile Missions Minister

 
Fredrick Harris serves as the One Mile Missions Minister at Heritage. His journey began here in June 2022. He loves the passion the people of Heritage have for becoming a church that looks like Christ as well as the loving atmosphere. He and his wife Evelyn have eight children and a growing number of grandchildren. When he is not at Heritage, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.

Alana Robinette

Preschool & Children’s Minister

 

Alana Robinette is the Preschool and Children’s Minister at Heritage Baptist Church. She joined the team in July 2022. Her favorite thing about Heritage is the servant hearts of the church family displayed through their love for God and our community. Alana is married to Jacob. They have a daughter named Evie. Alana is excited to be back and a part of the Heritage family after living in New Orleans for 8 years. Tamira Quattlebaum

Child Development Center Director

 
Tamira has a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Troy University. Since 1997, she has served in several different capacities at the CDC from teacher, to Kidz Club Coordinator, and now Director.Tamira finds her job very rewarding and looks forward to serving more children and families to come. She has been married to her husband Michael for 29 years and has three adult children. Shane Spiers

Facilities Superintendent

 
Shane Spiers has served as the Facilities Superintendent at Heritage Baptist Church for 7 years. He loves many things about his church including the ministry staff, leadership, and the Heritage family. Shane and his wife, Beth, have two daughters and one son: Melody (married to Bobby), Brianna (married to Ryan), and Caleb. They also have two grandchildren: Cadi and Logan. Michelle Rhodes

Financial Ministry Assistant

 
Michelle Rhodes serves as the Financial Ministry Assistant for Heritage Baptist Church. She has been on staff for 5 years. There are several things she loves about Heritage including the welcoming environment, the generous members, and her co-workers who she considers family. In her own family, she has been married to Ronald for 27 years. She has two adult children named Jennifer and Justin. Kelly Douglas

Pastoral Ministry Assistant

 
In June 2022, Kelly Douglas joined the Heritage team as the Pastoral Ministry Assistant. What she loves most about serving at Heritage is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. She says the people of Heritage have quickly made her and her husband feel at home. Kelly has been married to Scott since 1992. They are from Hueytown (Birmingham), Alabama where Scott served as a Student Minister and Associate Pastor for 27 years. He now serves as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force which is what has brought them to Montgomery. Becky Cox

Worship & Senior Adult Ministry Assistant

 
Becky Cox joined our team in 2019. She serves as the Worship and Senior Adult Ministry Assistant for Heritage Baptist Church. Her history with Heritage goes back to 1988 when she started attending with her boyfriend at the time, Bill Cox. Her parents even started coming with them. Becky and Bill married at Heritage in 1990 and raised their children here. They have friends from the earliest days that are still attending with them. She says, “It just feels like one big family.” Bill and Becky have two boys: Dalton is married to Lauren and they live in Kennesaw, GA. Daniel is engaged to be married in 2022 to Meredith. Nanci Berch

Family Life Center Director, Personal Trainer & Fitness Coordinator

 
Nanci Berch has been serving Heritage Baptist Church since December 2015. She is the Family Life Center Director, Personal Trainer and Fitness Coordinator. Nanci has been a certified personal trainer for 22 years and a group fitness instructor for 5 years. She has a bachelor’s degree from Huntingdon College in Human Performance and Kinesiology, and a master’s degree in Exercise Science from University of Alabama. Nanci loves working at Heritage because she gets to meet so many different people in different walks of life who have the same goal: to be healthy. She says Heritage and the Family Life Center can help with your mental health, physical health, and spiritual health. Nanci has been married to John for 21 years. Jessica Loy

Custodian

 
Jessica Loy has served as the custodian for Heritage Baptist Church since 2019. Her favorite thing about Heritage is the people and the children because they are so loving and generous! Jessica has a cat named Tigerlilly. She loves genealogy! In her free time, she likes to research her family tree. She says she loves knowing who she is and where she came from.
